N/A JOB SUMMARY Tellers are responsible for comprehensive, prompt, and efficient handling of customer banking transactions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Is responsible for comprehensive, prompt, and efficient customer transactions, verifying identities, signatures, balances, and cash amounts Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, checks for proper endorsement.
Cashes checks, and processes withdrawals; pays out cash after verification of signatures and balances.
Sales of Official Checks Processes and logs night depository bags, and mail deposits Answers phones assisting customers and/or transferring callers to appropriate branch personnel Cross sells bank products and services when appropriate Balances cash drawer at end of shift, and reports any discrepancies to supervisors Ensures all work has been correctly scanned Ensures workstations are properly stocked with supplies Admits customers to their Safe Deposit Box(s) Assists with maintenance and settlement of the Vault and ATM.
Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA PATRIOT Act (including but not limited to) Customer Identification Program, customer due diligence and maintaining customer/account profiles, accurate completion of CTDs, Monetary Instrument logs and other records, identifying red flags and reporting unusual activities to the BSA Department Open and close the branch as needed.
OTHER DUTIES Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor(s) SUPERVISORY DUTIES N/A EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School Diploma/GED Cash handling experience a plus Successful completion of in-house training KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong organizational skills and attention to details Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Ability to function well in a face paced environment.
