Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join their team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes for success.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate technical team meetings and spearhead projects utilizing methodologies like DFA (Design for Assembly), PFMEA (Process FMEA), A3 Problem Solving, and Design of Experiments. Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Design, plan, and implement safe, high-quality, and cost-effective equipment and processes, ensuring smooth integration into production. Collaborate with the Lean/CI team to develop efficient processes and standard work instructions that optimize output, minimize defects, and elevate product quality. Take functional ownership of item routings, work instructions, and process flow documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity. Support new product development initiatives, driving Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) best practices. Review technical documents and create drawings in SolidWorks or similar CAD software to support manufacturing processes. Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste. Create and update information for Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Required
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience working with electronics or electro-mechanical products. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). Welding, brazing, and/or soldering experience is a plus.
